Okay, everyone who knows me knows I love books and TWILIGHT's oficially my new guilty pleasure. Why's that? I wanna know!

Gotta make a list.


Reasons Twilight rocks

There are some pretty funny, cute, romantic, etc. quotes.

Some characters can be worked out to have great personalities (Jacob, the wolves, even the Cullens).

There's so much base for fanfiction.

The fanfiction itself. I LOVE Twilight fanfiction. Some of it actually has great writing. I like the parodies, too.

The fanart, DUH.

The fandom. I just love this whole love/hate thing. The rabid fangirls are hilarious and I've confirmed my theory that after Twilight, "Bellas" are invading the world. Heh.


Reasons Twilight doesn't rock all that much

Bella and Edward have no personality. Period. After four books, I STILL can't figure out what are they supposed to be like. I guess I'm either a real idiot or Meyer is. I'm betting on me..yer.

No personality= no chemistry. Sorry guys.

What's the need of 500/800 pages for a zero plot?

Ahhhhh... the action is so damn boring. I prefer romance to action , but I wanted some action to save the romance. It made it even worse.

Meyer is SUCH a biased writer. She forces her own opinion on every character. She loves Bella? Well, EVERYONE must love Bella. She loves Edward? Well, EVERYONE must love Edward. She loves Alice? The same.

That made no sense. Edward/Bella are mostly vapid and personality-less, so I don't get the rabid love for that couple.

OK, let's take Alice. She was peppy and jumpy. Why do Edward/Bella love her so much? It'd make more sense for their emo-ness to be annoyed by Alice's peppiness. I would have thought Edward would prefer Rosalie. But nooooooo, remember, he has no personality. He is Meyer, just like Bella. All the characters are Meyer. They have no opinion of their own.

Btw, if Alice is supposedly hyper and stuff, why does Bella make her sound cool and nonchalant? Is it just me?


No, it's Meyer and her lack of ability. I can't figure out Alice either. Darn.


Well, anyway. The whole thing is obviously her own personal fantasy.

It's sorta depressing. She seems to be telling you to live in your dreams rather than out there in the real world *sigh*

Which is why I guess works when you have nothing else to do. (like now)

So in the end Twilight = still my guilty pleasure.
